The 28th Riga Fashion Week

This week, on March 19, the 28th Riga Fashion Week has started, which gathered international fashion society in the capital of Latvia until March 23. The program of Riga Fashion Week included fashion shows by Latvian and foreign designers, as well as a number of events – both professional and creative, as well as educational, that are organized for this week to celebrate fashion and its latest trends.

The Baltic Fashion Federation in cooperation with The Art Academy of Latvia organized a free lecture on new technologies in fashion business “Fashion Coin and Blockchain as A New Fashion System”, intended for fashion students, designers and bloggers as well as other interested parties. The lecture was led by blockchain and fashion industry professionals from Ukraine and the United States.

The official grand opening event was organized in cooperation with the University of Business, Arts and Technology RISEBA in its Architecture and Media Center H2O 6 and it offered fashion shows by three brands from the Baltics – QooQoo (Latvia), Rebellionaires (Estonia) and LYLI by Lilija Larionova (Lithuania).

The RFW program this season included fashion shows of such Latvian designers as Bergs Privé, Cinnamon Concept, Katya Katya London, Narciss by Alise Trautmane, Natalija Jansone, Nóló, One Wolf, Public Makes Image, Talented, QooQoo, as well as fashion shows of foreign designers – Anna K (Ukraine), Diana Arno (Estonia) and Morfosis (Italy). Also, the general sponsor of RFW, Picanova, have prepared a fashion show in a collaboration with the Italian virtuoso of digital art and graphic design – Julio Rossi.

Within the framework of the Riga Fashion Week dedicated to the autumn-winter 2018/19 season, several media and buyer events are also scheduled: on March 21st, there will be a designer showroom at BOLD Concept Store premises, Terbatas Street 45a, while brand One Wolf is organizing brunch for media and buyers at their studio, Lacplesa Street 10-4 on March 23rd.
