In Spring/Summer 2024, KEEN partners with Mita Sneakers, Only NY, and End for a global celebration across Tokyo, New York, and London. Collaborating with these renowned retailers, the UNEEK collection will be unveiled in key cities worldwide, marking a truly global launch.

To mark the occasion, KEEN introduces three new variations of the beloved UNEEK open-air sneaker, available in both men’s and women’s styles. The UNEEK II Convertible features an adjustable heel strap for effortless transformation into a slide. Embracing sustainability, the huarache-inspired slip-on version, UNEEK II Harvest, showcases natural and recycled materials. Additionally, UNEEK O3, a lightweight sneaker-inspired version with a lightly cushioned heel back, offers comfort for the season.
The genesis of UNEEK traces back to KEEN’s Director of Innovation, Rory Fuerst Jr., who sought to revolutionize traditional shoe construction. Departing from flat, 2D material pieces, KEEN embraced a novel approach inspired by the foot’s natural contours. The breakthrough came with the integration of cords, offering a form-fitting upper that adapts to the foot’s shape.
Despite initial manufacturing challenges, KEEN persisted in perfecting the UNEEK, ultimately achieving remarkable efficiency through family-owned factories.
