Armitron, the timepiece titan crafting watches since 1975, is diving deep into sustainability alongside the Wildlife Conservation Society. Introducing their latest Ocean Plastics Collection, featuring the Reef watch style and Wave watch colourways, Armitron is teaming up once again with #tide Ocean Material SA to make a splash in eco-conscious fashion.

Priced at $95 each, these eco-friendly watches are crafted from recycled ocean-bound plastics, making them as stylish as they are environmentally friendly. The Reef watch comes in Coral, Gray, and White colour options, while the Wave watch offers White, Orange, and Green. Both styles are exclusively available on Armitron.com starting April 22nd, Earth Day 2024.

In addition to launching their sustainable timepieces, Armitron is showing their commitment to wildlife conservation by donating $30,000 to the Wildlife Conservation Society. This partnership also aims to advocate for the designation of Hudson Canyon as a National Marine Sanctuary, recognizing its importance as a habitat for a diverse array of marine life.

Barbara Weichselbaum, CEO of E. Gluck Corporation, Armitron’s parent company, sees this collaboration as a significant step towards a greener future. “By embracing socially responsible materials in fashion and accessories, we’re leading a movement towards a more sustainable future,” she says. “Together, we’re not only crafting style but also crafting a legacy of conscientious innovation.”

At the heart of this sustainability initiative is #tide Ocean Material SA, which specialises in transforming ocean-bound plastics into premium raw materials for sustainable products. Armitron’s new watches are crafted from recycled ocean-bound plastic sourced from #tide, ensuring durability and quality while actively contributing to the global effort of repurposing plastic waste.

The Wave collection offers vibrant timepieces with a 40mm case, featuring colours like black with orange strap, navy with white strap, and black with green strap. Meanwhile, the Reef watch, available in a smaller 36mm case, boasts coral with a black strap, ivory with a grey strap, and black with a white strap. Both collections combine style, comfort, and environmental consciousness, redefining fashion with a purpose.
