Too Much is Never Enough

What can be more depressing than grey and freezing cold weather? When holidays are over and daily routine starts again the joy of snow disappears so fast that you realize you can’t wait for spring to come when it’s only the mid of January…

At this time of the year not only the sky is grey, but all the people around you look the same, don’t they? Grey sweater, black pants, brown scarf…everybody joins the nature. Sometimes it just looks so sad that it makes you cry on the inside. No sunshine – no colors. Who decided to adapt fashion trends to the seasons? Or are we doing it ourselves?

A bunch of people wear clothes according to their mood, and in most cases it depends on the weather. How sad is it? Can’t we control ourselves and feel like we want to feel despite the fact that it’s cold and raining? Why can’t we just bring the spring to the streets with our bright attitude and colorful outfits? Actually, the question is not “why can’t we”, but “why we don’t want?”

Let’s break the rules and go against  nature! There’s a photo shoot which made me think about the miserable and cold reality. “Interview” magazine in its December issue published an amazing set of photos entitled “The Clash”. Photographs were taken by Australian photographer based in New York Robbie Fimmano; style was created by incredibly talented Vanessa Chow; model job was done by Patrycja Gardygajlo.

Patterns and colors – that’s what we need to survive the most depressing time of the year! Let’s make a little SwO gang which feels like spring any time of the year. Who’s in?
